Benefits of Stainless Steel Fittings and Pipe

Stainless Steel fittings and pipe are popularly used on modern commercial and industrial building projects due to its quick and safe installation features. Stainless steel is a reliable source of material, even under severe conditions, and does not require a hot works permit. It offers substantial savings in time and risk when compared to traditional brazing and soldering methods, and provides a sleek finish, removing the need for additional painting or external protection.

Instantor Stainless Steel Press Fittings and Pipe are designed and approved for use in potable water, gas supply, water-based heating, saturated steam, solar, sprinkler, compressed air, fire protection, and industrial applications.

The new range offers fittings that are both DVGW certified and WRAS approved, and gas fittings that bear the BSI Kitemark. The new range of fittings are also accompanied by 316L stainless steel pipe, which is also DVGW certified.

Each fitting features an O-ring on each connection, which when pressed correctly, delivers a water-tight seal in seconds. Instantor Stainless Steel press fittings are quick to install in just 5 simple steps – cut, calibrate, check O-ring, mark insertion depth, and press! Stainless steel fittings offer an aesthetic, hygienic appearance, and can usually be found in food and pharmaceutical industry applications. They provide a decorative finish, avoiding the need for extra paint or external protection costs, and minimum load loss resulting in faster fluid flows. Stainless steel fittings are also corrosion, fire, heat and impact resistant, offering peace of mind to both the installer and the end customer.

Building Regulations

Building Regulations are continuously being updated and amended in order to provide safer living and working environments for us all. According to the current Building Regulations Technical Guidance Document (Part H), compliant solvent waste pipe to EN1329 with a minimum wall thickness of 3mm should always be used for soil and waste water disposal applications throughout Ireland.

Adhering to Building Regulations

Sanbra Fyffe pride themselves on being a reliable source within the marketplace for high-quality products that adhere to the highest standards and certifications. That said, our product development team regularly introduces new product SKUs to ensure our range meets the current Building Regulations within Ireland.

Sanbra Solvent Waste Pipe is available in various sizes, with a wall thickness from 1.8mm to 3mm. Our solvent waste pipe with 3mm wall thickness is manufactured from PVC-U to comply with EN1329 and the Building Regulations Part H. PVC-U is a plastic piping system designed specifically for soil and waste gravity discharge within a building structure.

It’s important that both plumbers and installers acknowledge Building Regulations as a “set of legal requirements for the design and construction of new buildings, extensions and material alterations to and certain changes of use in existing buildings”. These regulations are covered under the Building and Control Acts 1990 to 2014.

Benefits of Sanbra Solvent Waste Pipe

Sanbra Solvent Waste Pipe is quick and easy to install, being an inexpensive material with impact and corrosion-resistant features. The lightweight material is suitable for both domestic and commercial use, providing a satisfactory joint with many years of trouble-free installations well beyond its service life period of 50 years.

What are the Qualities and Applications of Stainless Steel?

The qualities that stainless steel offers as a building material make it appealing for use in commercial and industrial projects. These include its durability (highly corrosion & impact resistant), long-term value and sustainability, cost and time savings, no hot works permit required, no use of hazardous welding gases making it hygienic, fire & heat resistance, and offers minimum load loss allowing for faster fluid flows.

Stainless Steel fittings and pipe are often attractive on large-scale projects for many reasons. As stainless steel is a reliable material, it offers a long lifespan which under proper conditions can be up to 50+ years, meaning it provides residual value when compared with other materials. Paired with the wide range of sizes available, Instantor Stainless Steel Press fittings range from 15mm to 108mm.
